Resident Services

Edgewood Village Resident Services reflects Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority's (AMHA) strong belief that Edgewood Village goes far beyond bricks and mortar. The community offers residents opportunities to participate in the revitalization of their community and build a better life for themselves and their families.

The staff's goal is to identify needs and secure services to help individuals meet their life goals. The staff coordinates opportunities such as employment counseling, financial classes and educational tutoring. Clients also have access to child care services and a computer lab.

Some of the programs and services offered through Resident Services are:
  • Section 3 registry for employment opportunities
  • Employment workshops
  • Financial literacy workshops
  • Health and wellness programs
  • Referrals to community agencies
  • Family Self Sufficiency Program for public housing and voucher residents
